Who We Are

Archie Macpherson is a director and cinematographer known for his intuitive, atmospheric style and his commitment to telling stories of resilience, leadership and collective healing.

Raised in the Scottish Highlands, he studied Film at FAMU in Prague and Leeds University, before working as a commercial DOP in London for 6 years on commercials, short films and branded docs. He cofounded an aerial cinematography company with his brother, Sam, which they grew to become one of the leading drone services for Film and Television in the UK, Aerial Frontiers.

Archie's passion for documentary and environmentally focused stories led him to spend 7 weeks aboard the Ocean Cleanup vessel, with a crew engineering a system to extract plastic waste from the Pacific Ocean.

His work has earned industry recognition, including a Gold for directing at St. Petersburg international film festival for his short film Lament, plus a D&AD Wood Pencil Award and Gold at the Scottish Design Awards for the commercial 'Scotland at Night'. 

In 2025, he co-founded Reforest Films to collaborate with purpose led organisations and brands that put human heritage, land stewardship, and long term impact over short term profit.

Aurora Leonard is a Filipina American producer and director known for blending emotional depth with creative precision, and for guiding productions with clarity, care, and a strong sense of purpose. 

Her background spans theatre, film, and television, with work featured on networks including NBC, HBO, Netflix, Hulu, and FX. Before cofounding Reforest Films, she served as the Associate Director of the Living/Dying Project where she redesigned operations, expanded global reach, and helped scale the organization’s impact. Today, she continues to work one-on-one with hospice patients in California, cultivating a deep capacity for client care and mission aligned growth.

Aurora is currently co-directing Living to Die Now, a short documentary about grief and the end of life. Her producing credits include projects centered on Indigenous communities, regenerative farming, and climate resilience. Her stage and screen work has received recognition such as an LA Drama Critics Circle Award nomination and festival honors for Best Narrative Feature for the film Sonny Boy

At Reforest Films, she leads production and operations with care and collaboration, guiding purposeful filmmaking that creates tangible outcomes for mission driven organizations.
