Who We Are
Archie Macpherson is a director and cinematographer known for his intuitive, atmospheric style and his commitment to telling stories of resilience, leadership and collective healing.
Raised in the Scottish Highlands, he studied Film at FAMU in Prague and Leeds University, before working as a commercial DOP in London for 6 years on commercials, short films and branded docs. He cofounded an aerial cinematography company with his brother, Sam, which they grew to become one of the leading drone services for Film and Television in the UK, Aerial Frontiers.
Archie's passion for documentary and environmentally focused stories led him to spend 7 weeks aboard the Ocean Cleanup vessel, with a crew engineering a system to extract plastic waste from the Pacific Ocean.
His work has earned industry recognition, including a Gold for directing at St. Petersburg international film festival for his short film 'Lament', plus a D&AD Wood Pencil Award and Gold at the Scottish Design Awards for the commercial 'Scotland at Night'.
In 2025, he founded Reforest Films to collaborate with purpose led organisations and brands that put human heritage and land stewardship before profit.
