The Ocean Cleanup Trailer

In 2020 we were invited to spend 7 weeks on board with the The Ocean Cleanup Team, 1100 miles from shore. We documented their mission to clean up the infamous plastic waste accumulation called 'The Great Pacific Garbage Patch'.

The waste covers twice the size of France and scatters across the harshest environment on the planet.

We lived and filmed alongside a crew of 20 engineers, researchers and ship workers. 

They tried, failed, refined and evolved this system to what would be the final testing phase of the fully functioning and successful operation it is today. 

This is the story of The Ocean Cleanup - System 4.
